Today, we're looking at the difference between "every" and "each".

今天我們要來看「每個」和「各個」的差別。

There is very little difference because we use "every" and "each" in very similar ways.

因為我們使用「每個」和「各個」的方法很相似，所以差別很小。

But there is a subtle, a small difference. "Every" refers to group or a lot of things, whereas "each" refers to individual things.

但還是有細微的小差別。「每個」是與團體或很多事情有關，而「各個」是與個別事件有關。

Let's take an example to help you out with that.

So, if we talk about the days that we work.

如果我們要說我們的工作天數。

Every day I work for seven hours.

我每天工作七個小時。

Each day that I work, I work for seven hours.

我每個工作天會上班七個小時。

The difference here is that "every" means I work every single day⏤Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and even Sunday.

不同之處在於「每個」代表我每一天都工作。禮拜一、禮拜二、禮拜三、禮拜四、禮拜五、禮拜六還有禮拜日。

And when I work, I work seven hours.

當我工作時，我會工作七個小時。

But "Each day that I work, I work seven hours." means that those days that I do work, I work seven hours.

但是「我每個工作天會工作七個小時」代表我要工作的那幾天，我會工作七個小時。

But there are days when I might not work, for example, Saturday or Sunday.

但也有幾天我有可能不用工作，例如禮拜六或禮拜日。

So "every" talks about a group of things, and "each" talks about single or individual things.

所以「每個」是在說一組事情，「各個」是在說單一或個別的事情。
